BIO: Jared Lovelace is a U.S. Army Veteran running for election to the U.S. House to represent Texas’ 10th Congressional District. Lovelace is challenging the current Rep. Michael McCaul in the Republican primary election on March 5th.
Lovelace is a 7th generation working-class Texan, Eagle Scout, veteran, husband, and father. He studied Middle East Studies & Arabic at Brigham Young University and is proficient inEnglish, German, and Arabic.
In 2019, Jared earned a highly selective commission as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army. He served in the 25th Infantry Division and later the 11th Airborne Division at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He led a platoon of 42
riflemen, ranked as the top infantry officer in his battalion, and was promoted to Captain.
While serving, he volunteered in the community as a youth minister and completed an MBA to augment his entrepreneurial interests. Jared founded two innovative startup ventures andcurrently consults small businesses on marketing and product management.
Jared is married to his wife of 8 years, Courtney, and together they have 3 children ages 5, 3, and 1. They currently resides in La Grange, TX.
Jared is running for Congress to cut spending, balance the budget, seal the border, enact term limits, and minimize U.S. foreign entanglements. He also hopes to inspire a younger generation of conservatives to get involved and prove to Texans that a working-class citizen can run, win, get results, let go of power, and return home with their integrity intact.
